They skate around wearing silver and black
Always ready and willing to attack
From Los Angeles a place so warm
This team on ice who once played at the Forum
They are now the toast of Tinseltown
Led by their captain, a man named Brown
They were underdogs in the first round.
No so-called expert thought they would get off the ground
But they went through the Canucks
In 5 games and with some pluck
Up next were the St Louis Blues
Who the Kings swept and refused to lose
They came across a feisty group of Desert Dogs
But the Kings prevailed leaving the Coyotes in a fog.
Their final test was the team from the Swamp.
The Kings knew this would be no romp.
LA jumped to a 3 game lead.
One more win, was all they need.
But the Devils refused to die
They weren’t going to ask why.
The fans were wondering, and worried sick.
But the Kings had a brick wall, named Jonathan Quick.
It was tough, when it went to game six.
People asked, did the Devils have more tricks?
The Kings fought hard and the battle was tough.
But they found a way, even when the going was rough.
So now the players can be fitted for rings..
And everyone now will say Long Live the LA Kings.
